PPWR (EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) is an integrated EU regulation established to improve recyclability, promote reuse, and reduce unnecessary packaging for all packaging materials and packaging-related products placed on the EU market.
PPWR reflects requirements across the entire supply chain, including manufacturers, importers, and distributors. It provides comprehensive international sustainability requirements covering packaging design and material criteria, recycling targets, labeling obligations, and reuse requirements.

Procedure

• Packaging Design & Regulatory Review
• Technical Documentation Preparation
• Product Testing & Verification
• Issuance of PPWR Technical Evaluation Report
• Review by Accredited Certification Body & Certificate Issuance (Optional)

Period for acquisition

Approximately 3–4 months(Subject to variation depending on packaging type and completeness of submitted documentation)

Materials required

• Packaging design drawings and technical specifications
• Material composition declaration (Plastic, Paper, Composite, etc.)
• Recyclability assessment documentation (based on CEN/TR or EN standards)
• Packaging reduction plan (if applicable)
• Reusability assessment documentation (where applicable)
• Packaging end-of-life treatment procedures and circularity plan
• Environmental labeling artwork and implementation plan
